    We are the food control of Zürich Switzerland. Do you have some scientific publication about the Jasmine fragrant gene ? could you send me the reference of these publications ?

    1. Although there are diversified aromatic lines (KDML, Basmati) available in the market, the gene responsible for pandan like aroma (2-acetyl-pyrroline) was reported to be the major aromatic signature. Mutations reported in BADH gene is reported for aroma in these varieties. The BADH gene has different synonymous names such as BADH2/BAD2/Os2AP/AMADH. Recently additional volatile compounds were identified to differentiate aromatic varieties but these genes have not been cloned yet.
